Mears, Smith, Houser & Boyle, P.C. - In the early
1980's, Scott Mears, Sr., and Thomas Smith moved from the law firm of Avra
Pershing to establish their own litigation firm. They were quite
successful.
In
1985, Kim Houser approached the two of them as he had a growing defense
and municipal practice. With combined efforts, the firm became a
recognized Trial/Litigation firm. The firm became a trusted legal
consultant for many small regional Corporations.
Richard
Boyle joined the law firm in 1988. He added to the firm's progress,
having exceptional legal research skills and a growing practice. In
1991, Ken Ficerai joined the firm adding his growing practice and greatly
strengthened the Appellate capabilities of the firm.
At
this point, the firm had a very large and dynamic base from which it could
provide a myriad of legal services. James Annas joined the firm in
1996. Scott Mears, Jr. joined the firm in 1997. Both of these young
lawyers brought significant energy and propelled the firm to a larger
legal service capability addressing the needs of the firm's clients.
I
The
firm now has a balanced legal services capability for all its current and
future clients' needs.
